Kindergarten

Focuses on building a foundation for learning through play-based and hands-on activities, counting objects, letter names and more.

Juniors

Children begin to move from learning through play to more structured learning. They focus on foundational skills in several areas.

Seniors

Delve deeper into topics, applying basic skills in more sophisticated ways, and they engage in more analytical thinking.

Activities

Students participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities, building character and confidence.

  • The members of our Student Council executive body visited the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Library for an educational exhibition on aspects of Mexican history and culture. This was hosted by the Mexican Embassy in Jamaica.
  • SAVE THE DATE: SHPS PTA’s Fundraiser Benefit Performance of the Jamaica Musical Theatre Company 2026 Production of “PAN” on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 5:30 pm at the Sir Phillip Sherlock Centre, UWI Mona.

  • Wishing our footballers the very best this week as they continue to participate in the Alberga Cup Football Competition. Let’s go!!
  • A round of applause for Staneicia and Zaria 👏🏾. They represented Jamaica as part of the 2025 Jamaica CARIFTA Gymnastics team in Trinidad. The girls did a spectacular job, contributing significantly to the team’s overall level 2 second place win ( Staneicia) and level 3 overall third place win (Zaria). Jamaica took home approximately 71 medals. #spectacular
  • Through the kindness and generosity of our St. Hugh’s Prep families we were able to share with our brothers and sisters at the Kings Primary and Infant School in Westmoreland and the Black River Prep School in St. Elizabeth.

We are grateful to Halls Of Learning @hallsoflearning and @wrojamaica for coordinating WRO in Jamaica, a space that gives our children a platform to dream bigger, explore STEM with purpose, and discover a world of opportunities through robotics.   • Our footballers have been giving their all in the JISA under 12 matches, and their growth is showing in every game. Keep going, champs! This week their results included 8-0 against Portmore Missionary Prep 11-2 against Hagley Park Prep and 4-0 against Liguanea Prep. 👏🏾
